Emma Frost, a prominent character within the Marvel Comics X-Men universe, debuted in The Uncanny X-Men #129 (January 1980). Initially introduced as the villainous White Queen of the Hellfire Club, she later undergoes a significant transformation, becoming a valuable member of the X-Men.

Gifted with formidable psionic abilities, Frost is a powerful telepath capable of mind reading, mental manipulation, and projecting psionic blasts. She also possesses a secondary mutation that allows her to transform her body into an organic diamond form, granting her enhanced durability and invulnerability, although temporarily suppressing her telepathic abilities.

During the "Avengers vs. X-Men" storyline, Emma Frost became one of the "Phoenix Five," a group of X-Men empowered by a fraction of the Phoenix Force. This immense power amplified her abilities to cosmic levels, but also corrupted her judgment, leading to conflicts with both the Avengers and her fellow X-Men. Her time as a Phoenix host was fraught with ethical dilemmas and ultimately contributed to her complex and often morally ambiguous character arc.
